September 2026 — Readiness Checks for Calculus 1, 2, and 3
Today we're launching Readiness Checks on MathGym.ai.
How it works
- Pick your course: Calculus 1, 2, or 3.
- Take a short check with about 20 problems. Each one targets a prerequisite skill that's essential for the course. The Calc 1 check focuses on Precalculus; Calculus 2 adds Calculus 1; and Calculus 3 covers everything below.
- Train the gaps, one session at a time. Every problem in the check is broken down into the skills needed to solve it. When you miss a problem, we know exactly which skills were behind it, and your practice session is built from exactly those. Finish one focused session, and the next one appears. Instead of facing a wall of problems, you'll get targeted practice one step at a time.
Every problem in the check and every practice session comes from our problem bank, where each problem is verified by us, two PhD mathematicians who have taught college calculus for years. Grading is done by code, not an LLM.
Until now, MathGym worked from the problem inward. You upload a problem, and we identify the skills it requires using our skill map, and we train you on those skills. In other words, the skills belonged to the problem.
With readiness check, we are building toward a deeper understanding of each student's individual skills, and creating training that is even more personalized.
Anyone can create a free account at MathGym.ai, and Readiness Checks are included for free.
